rest in peace
«Спи спокойно», «покойся с миром». Клише, используемое при поминании усопших. Это перевод строки из молитвы за упокой из заупокойной мессы, и акроним R.I.P., часто встречающийся на надгробиях в Великобритании, происходит от этой фразы. Также оно употребляется в переносном значении по отношению к теме, которую не стоит больше обсуждать.

I don't want to talk about my computer problems. They are so boring. Let them rest in peace. — Я не хочу говорить о моих компьютерных проблемах. Это скучно. Оставим их в покое.
